Summary:
Coinbase is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for the Backend CETI team. This role is central to building scalable test infrastructure, enhancing developer productivity, and improving product quality through automation and AI/ML-driven solutions as part of Coinbase’s mission to build a global onchain financial system.
Responsibilities:

Build and scale testing infrastructure by architecting automated testing frameworks.

Define and implement smart automation strategies for testing at all levels.

Leverage AI/ML for intelligent test execution, flaky test detection, and self-healing automation.

Identify and resolve testing workflow bottlenecks and introduce innovative tools.

Establish and monitor product quality metrics impacting development and release stability.

Collaborate cross-functionally to define and implement scalable testing strategies company-wide.
Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software engineering.

Experience in designing, scaling, and maintaining production services within a service-oriented architecture.

Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices for both functional and non-functional requirements.

Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code.

Passion for building an open financial system.
