Responsibilities:
- Build and enhance the Release Platform.
- Migrate components from legacy processes to the new platform.
- Expand capabilities for custom orchestration, deployers, and release creation UIs.
- Ensure feature parity across all components, regardless of language or type.
- Provide service desk and on-call support for the platform.
- Collaborate with Infra teams to improve the platform for other engineers at Canva.
Requirements:
- Advanced proficiency in Python and strong understanding of OOP fundamentals.
- Strong experience as a Software Engineer in cloud ecosystems.
- Solid understanding of DevOps best practices.
- Experience with containerization, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with modern distributed microservices on AWS.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code and CI/CD practices.
- Understanding of cloud security best practices.
- Experience with AWS services such as IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, and RDS.
- Ability to mentor and guide other team members.
