Summary:
Coinbase is hiring a Backend Software Engineer for its Institutional Product Group in the UK. This role involves building secure, scalable systems that support crypto infrastructure and custody operations. You’ll contribute to tooling and automation that powers cold storage, asset management, and transaction processes.
Responsibilities:

Build resilient and scalable micro-services.

Write high quality, well-tested code.

Solve large-scale, complex problems across blockchain and web-scale application constraints.

Support internal tooling and process automation for Custody Vault workflows.

Contribute to cold storage execution tooling and transaction process automation.

Work on integration between custody platform and cryptographic signing backends.

Develop middle office tools for wallet operations like bulk transfers and rebalancing.

Enhance tooling for token lockups and vesting distributions.

Improve asset enablement and configuration in Prime Admin.

Invest in transaction lifecycle visibility and correction tools.
Requirements:

University graduate with internship and industry experience.

Ability to write high quality, well-tested code.

Experience building resilient, scalable micro-services.

Comfortable handling complex technical problems and completing tasks end-to-end.

Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
