Software Engineer – DevX Full Time

Summary:

  • Cabify is focused on empowering developers to build great products.
  • The Developer Experience team aims to improve tools, systems, and processes for developers.
  • The team works on enhancing CI/CD pipelines, internal tools, and developer workflows.
  • The position can be performed remotely or in the Madrid HQ.
  • The team supports more than 150 engineers with tools and practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop tools and platforms to enhance the developer experience.
  • Improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab) and GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD).
  • Use Kubernetes and other CNCF technologies to enhance scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code in Go, Bash, Node.js, or other languages.
  • Resolve issues at the host and infrastructure levels to ensure system smoothness.
  • Foster a culture of quality through peer reviews and adherence to on-call best practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers and guide them on best practices.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver impactful features.

Requirements:

  • Strong interest in platform engineering and developer tooling.
  • Familiarity with Git and GitOps principles.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and CNCF technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (particularly GitLab) and GitOps tools (e.g., ArgoCD).
  • Proficiency in Go, Bash, Node.js, or other relevant languages.
  • Experience in building scalable, distributed systems and working in production environments.
  • Alignment with engineering best practices including clean code and design patterns.
  • Self-driven and capable of both independent and collaborative work.
  • Previous Developer Experience or similar role is a plus.
