Responsibilities:
- Work with business and IT teams to understand the current business and system capabilities and define technology strategy roadmaps.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including business experts, analysts, project managers, account executives, and data engineers, to implement client projects.
- Work with Product Management to identify client-specific requirements for new features.
- Define the solution architecture vision for designated components, including long-term goals and near-term needs.
- Author project architecture design documents, including data flows, sequence diagrams, and system architecture.
- Focus on defining solutions for the Medicaid line of business.
- Provide training to internal teams on business needs and use cases for seamless client implementation.
- Offer ongoing support to address questions and issues raised during implementation.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding and passion for healthcare data and systems, especially Medicaid, including medical claims, pharmacy claims, eligibility, plan, enrollment, clinical, and provider data.
- Expertise in Medicaid data sets, specifically T-MSIS (Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System).
- Ability to define the solution architecture vision in architecture design documents.
- Broad technical knowledge in infrastructure, data models, programming, frameworks, and technical modeling.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, Databricks, and Snowflake.
- Strong understanding of healthcare industry trends, regulations, and customer needs.
- Previous payer operational experience preferred.
- Experience translating business needs into technology solutions that enable delivery of the Abacus platform.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in the payer/insurance data space and understanding data architecture needs.
- Experience working for a cloud-based data management provider is a plus.
- Understanding of technology and database landscape and the ability to work with vendor partners.
