- The Specialty Pharmacy Program Analyst will work with the Program Manager to support assigned manufacturer programs and therapies, facilitating key relationships and ensuring timely and accurate resolution of inquiries.
- The role requires quick responses and effective collaboration with manufacturers, case management teams, prescribers, and patients to ensure program requirements are met.
Responsibilities:
- Provide concise and accurate patient status information from systems or through collaboration with other team members to assigned manufacturers.
- Collaborate with internal SPP teams to expedite patient processing as needed.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve escalated issues related to complex reimbursement.
- Serve as the point of contact for manufacturer field reps, MD offices, and patients for all assigned orders.
- Lead regular calls with the manufacturer, in conjunction with the Program Manager.
- Perform manufacturer-specific enhanced services such as specialized welcome calls or patient calls directed by the Program Manager/Therapy Team Manager.
- Identify and create strategies to expedite or escalate situations with potential delays in initial or refill shipments.
- Prepare and/or review internal reports for assigned therapy and manufacturer.
- Attend scheduled meetings with manufacturers, program managers, and therapy teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably in Specialty Pharmacy.
- Ability to work with a diverse customer base including manufacturer representatives, MD office staff, and patients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to react urgently when needed.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and support team members.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage tight deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage issues based on urgency.
- Pharmacy Technician License preferred.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
