Summary:
- Sky Zone is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to join their team.
- This position is integral to their business intelligence strategy, delivering actionable insights to drive business decisions.
- The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will report to the Director of Business Intelligence and will work cross-functionally to design, develop, and manage scalable BI solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain BI solutions supporting strategic business objectives.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable data models, dashboards, and reports.
- Provide actionable insights to stakeholders by analyzing large datasets across multiple business functions.
- Design, develop, and manage visualizations and dashboards in Power BI.
- Train and support end-users to maximize the value of BI tools.
- Support the performance and integrity of the Snowflake data warehouse.
- Collaborate with data engineers to define and maintain ETL pipelines and ensure data accuracy.
- Leverage Python to automate data processes.
- Implement version control best practices using GitHub.
- Partner with stakeholders across departments, including Finance, Marketing, and Operations, to deliver tailored BI solutions.
- Act as a mentor and subject matter expert within the BI team.
- Represent the BI function in cross-functional projects and business reviews.
- Maintain data security and compliance standards, especially within a publicly traded company environment.
- Ensure adherence to data governance policies and best practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field.
- Experience working in a pre-IPO or publicly traded company.
- Consumer-facing multi-unit experience is required.
- Advanced SQL expertise for data analysis and transformation.
- Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI (DAX) or Tableau, with the ability to design intuitive dashboards and visualizations.
- Strong experience with Snowflake, including performance tuning and data modeling.
- Python scripting for data manipulation and analytics.
- Experience using GitHub for version control and collaboration.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive and self-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

- Competitive compensation range of $110,000 to $120,000, plus bonus based on qualifications, experience, and performance.
