Sr. Medical Science Liaison, Nephrology – Rare Disease at Amgen Full Time

Responsibilities

• Network with external customers, medical thought leaders, and institutions
• Communicate scientific/medical information and commercial value to medical community
• Work effectively in a changing environment and integrate customer feedback
• Pair customers’ needs with internal resources
• Collaborate with functional areas for communication of scientific information
• Identify and train new speakers for external programs
• Participate in conferences and meetings to support strategy and obtain information
• Evaluate external clinical research opportunities and facilitate trials
• Monitor competitive environment for advances and provide feedback to leadership

Requirements

• Doctorate & 2 years Medical Affairs experience OR
• Master’s & 6 years Medical Affairs experience OR
• Bachelor’s & 8 years Medical Affairs experience
• 3+ years Field Medical Affairs experience preferred
• 2+ years in Nephrology or similar disease state preferred
• Rare disease/specialty experience preferred
• PharmD, MD, DNP, PhD preferred
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel up to 60% and work up to 15-hour days
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and new business applications
• Bilingual preferred
