Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, and implementation of forecasting models and algorithms
- Architect scalable systems for processing large volumes of data and real-time forecasts
- Design and implement data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and transformation
- Leverage machine learning techniques for forecasting accuracy and granularity
- Create engineering practice standards and lead technical initiatives
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence and innovation
- Support on-call assignments and operational management
Requirements
- 8+ years industry experience or 10+ years with a bachelor’s degree in STEM
- Deep understanding of design patterns, software development principles
- Strong background in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems
- Expertise in SQL, big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Familiarity with statistical modeling techniques
- Experience developing protobuf and JSON-based API endpoints
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure and cloud computing concepts, ideally GCP
