Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the technical project team throughout the software modernization effort, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
- Implement and maintain Scrum-based Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and CMMI Level 3 processes.
- Knowledge or familiarity with Atlassian Suite and utilize JIRA for project tracking, resource allocation, and reporting.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including government representatives, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
- Collaborate with technical leads to develop and maintain project plans, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and reporting requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate communication between technical team members and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex concepts as needed.
- Contribute to proposal writing and identify opportunities for organic growth within the project scope.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to the project, recommending innovations when appropriate.
- Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
- 10+ years of project management experience.
- 5+ years of experience managing government contracts or projects.
- 3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
- 2+ years of experience with JIRA and other project management tools.
- Knowledge of Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
- PMI Project Management Professional certification.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
