Summary:
Wabtec Corporation, a global leader in rail and industrial solutions, seeks a Technical Service Engineer in Egypt. The role involves troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining Wabtec systems, leveraging innovation to enhance transportation. Responsibilities:
- Assist in the Installation, commissioning, Testing of Wabtec system/Product in the rolling stock.
- Troubleshoot and resolve the field complaints related to Wabtec systems, providing timely resolution and closure of the complaints.
- Support the installation and commissioning of the Wabtec product and performing the required testing.
- Perform retrofit, regular maintenance and emergency repairs on Wabtec products in line with procedure and site requirement.
- Report and record the field interventions performed by himself and associated team.
- Maintain accountability for Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), maintain consumed spares/Failed part and site spares data.
- Communicate effectively with customer to understand main issues and provide clear explanations of the work performed.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with our organization’s strict safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role (Field service) preferably in the transportation railways or heavy machinery with Good troubleshooting skills.
- Technical experience working on rolling stock products Engines / Bogies / Brake Systems / Traction Motors / Control Systems, etc is highly preferred.
- Should be comfortable in learning & adopting IT systems for monitoring & maintaining Locomotives.
- Ability to promote safe & environmentally compliant work practices.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Agility to adopt to new environment/ business strategies.
- Collaborate with multiple departments.
- Passionate to lead and take initiatives.
- Good attitude and interpersonal relationship.
- Problem-solving abilities Excellent – Soft Skill.
- Microsoft Office Knowledge.
- Very good command of English Communication (speaking and writing).
