Telehealth Physician Freelance

Description:

• Review patient prescription requests, assess the medical history, and inquire about the patient’s current circumstances to determine suitability.
• Work closely with admin and support staff to handle and resolve patient inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
• Participate in both synchronous and asynchronous patient consultations, provide ongoing patient care, and respond promptly to patient inquiries and concerns.
• Develop appropriate prescription plans based on guidelines, while maintaining an independent medical judgment.
• Provide ongoing support and encourage adherence to treatment plans by building and maintaining strong relationships with patients.
• Contribute to the improvement of company processes and internal efficiency.
• Participate in continuing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge as needed.
• Maintain an accurate and detailed record of patient interactions within the EMR and ensure all documentation complies with current healthcare regulations and standards.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and safeguard patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in healthcare to improve patient outcomes and drive continuous improvements.

Requirements:

• At least 2-4 years of physician experience outside of residency.
• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
• Licensed to practice medicine in at least 2 of the following states, with the willingness to obtain additional licenses (AL, AR, GA, KY, MS, MO, OR, PA, TN).
• Experience working in a telehealth environment.
• Technical proficiency with computers, telehealth platforms, and tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organization skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of and an interest in longevity is a plus.
