Responsibilities
- Drive FLI’s communications activities in the US to support strategic goals
- Work with Policy team to create change within key US media markets/audiences
- Collaborate with Communications team to ensure content aligns with US campaign objectives
- Create and cultivate media relationships in the US with key outlets and journalists
- Produce press releases, op-eds, statements, and other content for FLI announcements
- Contribute insights to production of creative assets (videos, animations, infographics)
- Help craft messaging for FLI staff and allies to communicate key issues
- Run FLI’s press office and lead when the UK office is closed
- Produce and run US-based events to grow network and drive awareness
- Contribute to overall strategic direction of FLI’s Communications team
Requirements
- Experience leading nonprofit and/or issue-based campaigns with impact
- Experience and understanding of working with press to place stories
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven self-starter with initiative, creativity, and autonomy
- Excited by joining a small, influential team to improve humanity’s future

- $100,000 – $140,000 a year, depending on experience and geography
