The Hartford is seeking a Virtual Risk Engineering Consultant to support clients remotely by providing risk management services, virtual consultations, and technical evaluations. This role involves working with a variety of clients, creating service strategies, and contributing to the development of virtual tools, all from a fully remote setup.
Create service strategies for clients that address trends and provide a strong customer experience.
Be a creative leader in the development and service execution of virtual tools and resources.
Work collaboratively with underwriters and business partners to deliver sound business decisions.
Participate in cross-functional projects aligned with operating plans.
Provide Risk Engineering technical consultations through virtual surveys and services.
Offer consultations to underwriting and agents regarding customer service expectations.
Deliver technical support to policyholders and producers to address safety and health issues.
Assist in implementing innovative virtual tools and enhancing the client virtual service experience.
Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3 years of experience in risk management and Risk Engineering.
Preferred degrees in Safety Management, Risk Management and Insurance, Industrial or Environmental Engineering, Biology, or other Science Majors.
Alternatively, 5+ years of relevant experience and willingness to attain a professional designation within 24 months.
Understanding of commercial lines insurance.
High personal drive and self-motivation.
Strong analytical and consultative relationship-building skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Broad knowledge of Risk Engineering technical disciplines.
Designations such as CSP, CHST, or ARM preferred or willingness to attain them.
Strong computer and tech skills; proficiency in MS Office and other tools.
Ability to travel up to 10% via air, rail, or automobile.
Bilingual capabilities are a plus.
Competitive compensation: $102,400 – $153,600 annually.
