Summary:
- Avalere Health, a commercialization partner for the biopharmaceutical, medical technology, and wellness industries, is looking for a VP of Strategy – Market Access Marketing.
- This position involves leading market access strategy partnerships, developing comprehensive strategies for maximizing and communicating brand value, and guiding qualitative and quantitative research to derive actionable insights.
- The role involves ideation and execution of market access marketing solutions, working with various teams and stakeholders.
- The VP will lead RFP strategy, organic growth, new business development, and contribute to the growth of the internal strategy team.
- Occasional travel up to 20-30% is required.
Responsibilities:
- Advise, guide, and develop comprehensive market access strategies to support pipeline and inline assets in maximizing and communicating brand value.
- Lead and perform the analysis of qualitative and quantitative research relating to market access stakeholders and derive meaningful insights.
- Lead and develop market access stakeholder personas/archetypes, strategy maps, integration into brand plans, positioning, brand identity strategy, creative briefs, and messaging strategy.
- Lead the ideation and execution of market access marketing solutions, tactics, and activations that amplify brand performance.
- Lead and facilitate workshops, training meetings, launch meetings, and other key events on behalf of market access marketing clients.
- Integrate seamlessly between Advisory and Marketing disciplines within a matrixed organization.
- Grow the market access marketing offer by leading RFP strategies, identifying organic growth opportunities, and supporting new business development.
- Collaborate with account, medical, and creative partners on the delivery of market access marketing strategy.
- Deliver thought leadership, publish articles, contribute to podcasts, and stay updated on key market events affecting market access stakeholders.
- Identify external partners for collaboration and consultation as needed.
- Support leadership with growing the internal strategy team and cultivating strong talent.
- Flexibility for travel up to 20-30% as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field; Master’s degree preferred (public health, public policy, marketing, communications, business administration).
- 12+ years of strategic planning or marketing experience, preferably in market access, payer marketing, or managed markets.
- Experience leading strategy for market access marketing, including pre-launch, launch, mature, and portfolio brands.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and cross-discipline environment with a proactive mindset.
- Skilled interdisciplinary thinker and curious strategist.
- Ability to balance collaborative work and independent work.
- Proven track record of leading and inspiring teams.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
