Hi, I’m Gent Jashari, a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
My first job was at Probit LLC, where I worked as a Frontend Developer using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and WordPress. While working there, I realized that I am a detail-oriented person, which made me consider transitioning from Frontend Development to QA. I began learning about QA and started searching for jobs in this field.
I chose QA because it allows me to verify and validate that the product meets client requirements. I enjoy QA because it combines my attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and passion for delivering high-quality products.
I started my QA career at Polymath Labs as an apprentice before transitioning into a full-time role. During my two years there, I gained extensive experience in writing and executing test cases (both manual and automated), reporting bugs, and using various test management tools. I also collaborated with DevOps to create a CI/CD pipeline for catching bugs earlier through regression testing whenever a new push or release was made.
While at Polymath Labs, I also obtained a foundational-level certification in AWS, and I am now planning to get certified as a software tester by the ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board).
Working in an Agile environment, my day typically started with a stand-up meeting to review project progress and plan the day’s tasks. My responsibilities included writing test cases, executing them manually or via automation for high-priority features, conducting API testing using Postman, and performing database testing to ensure data integrity.
I have a passion for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products, and I believe my experience in both manual and automation testing makes me a strong candidate for this position.
