IT Operations Director at Wave in Senegal Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Define IT and Telephony team’s strategy and objectives.
• Manage IT and Telephony operation teams’ scope of work.
• Develop IT policies and processes from first principles.
• Improve IT metrics across various areas of responsibility.
• Partner with Engineering on Information Security management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technology needs.
• Make effective system and technology investment decisions.
• Identify need for upgrades, configurations, or new systems.
• Build relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts.

Requirements:

• 10 years in information technology or a related field.
• 5 years experience in leadership roles.
• Experience in budgeting and resource allocation.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with tools like Jamf, Jira, Monday, Google Workspace.
• Experience in a rapidly scaling startup environment.
• Fluency in English (French is advantageous).
