Senior Textile Designer (Contract, 40 hours per week) at MORI in South Africa Temporary

Responsibilities:

• Lead design of seasonal collections for babywear and children’s clothing.
• Oversee design process from concept to final sample.
• Conduct trend research to stay innovative in the market.
• Collaborate with product teams to develop accurate designs.
• Select sustainable materials that align with MORI’s values.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Marketing, and Operations.
• Push creative boundaries while maintaining brand values.
• Ensure timely completion of design projects.
• Present designs and concepts to internal teams.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in fashion design, especially babywear.
• Strong portfolio of commercial and functional designs.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other design tools.
• Knowledge of garment construction and sustainable fabrics.
• Excellent trend forecasting skills, particularly UK and US markets.
• Leadership experience in mentoring junior designers.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments.
• Passion for creating sustainable, high-quality products.
