Responsibilities:
- Design and implement logging solutions with Splunk
- Align solutions with M-21-31 and EO 14028 requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders on security requirements
- Implement log standards and data integrity processes
- Verify logging compliance for application/system logs
- Deploy Splunk solutions, including data ingestion and alerts
- Establish interfaces for data sharing with Splunk instances
- Provide recommendations via whitepapers and briefs
- Create documentation, including diagrams and job aids
- Train stakeholders on Splunk searches and dashboards
Requirements:
- Master’s in CS, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 12+ years IT experience; 10+ years with Splunk
- Bachelor’s with 14 years IT or HS diploma with 16+ years
- Splunk Enterprise Security Certified Admin credential
- Advanced SPL search skills for detection engineering
- Knowledge of federal logging compliance requirements
- Expertise in cybersecurity frameworks like NIST, ISO
- Strong understanding of log formats and event policies
- Excellent communication and training skills
