Summary:
Instacart, North America’s leader in online grocery delivery, is seeking a Tax Analyst to join its growing team. This role will focus on global indirect tax audits, assisting with special projects, and maintaining compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with global indirect tax audits, developing audit strategies and managing related activities.
- Refine and respond to tax authority information document requests (IDRs).
- Analyze large datasets to draft detailed IDR responses.
- Build and maintain relationships with taxing authorities to resolve audit issues.
- Stay informed on global indirect tax legislation and regulatory guidance.
- Conduct global indirect tax research to support audit, compliance, and operational activities.
- Prepare ASC 450 monthly reconciliations and quarterly reporting materials.
- Identify potential process enhancements and assist with their implementation.
- Research and provide guidance on the taxability of new products and services.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and the broader tax team to ensure tax operations and compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Advanced degree preferred).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, with experience in Alteryx and AI applications.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
