Responsibilities
- Teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams on Monday and Tuesday
- Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement
- Modify instructional methods to meet diverse student needs
- Employ teaching strategies to communicate subject matter to students
- Demonstrate accurate knowledge of their field or discipline
- Connect subject matter with related fields and stay current through professional development
- Ensure Student Database is updated with attendance and grades
- Maintain compliance with accreditation and CIAT policies
- Submit required documentation and communicate needs for class materials
- Promote collaboration with staff and participate in new projects
- Adhere to CIAT business casual attire policy
Requirements
- Provide official transcripts and certification on the subject taught
- CompTIA Linux+ certification required
- At least three years’ experience in the field or two years teaching experience
- Synchronous online teaching experience preferred
- Advanced subject matter expertise and commitment to professional development
- Effective presentation, communication, and technology skills
- Good knowledge of MS Office and learning technologies like Canvas
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and problem-solve effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively and support student success
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in higher education
