Summary:

Ford Pro, a global business within Ford, focuses on enhancing commercial customer productivity by offering a work-ready suite of vehicles, accessories, and services. The company is looking for a Software Engineer to develop innovative software products, adopting Agile-eXtreme Programming principles for both Ford Motor Company and its commercial customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Engineer high-quality reusable code to develop the dynamic user interface for various platforms.
  • Enhance testing platforms, improve test automation, and foster software craftsmanship.
  • Surprise and delight customers and partner software engineers.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of solutions.
  • Collaborate with multi-skilled teams working on commercial/fleet software solutions.
  • Engage in Test-first Development and Test Driven Development.
  • Cloud development using cutting-edge technologies and integrations with Ford enterprise systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in front-end development.
  • 3+ years of experience with object-oriented development languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Kotlin, Python, C#).
  • Experience with modern databases (relational and non-relational).
  • 1+ years of experience developing and deploying to cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS, Microsoft Azure).
  • Experience with developing web-based UI using JavaScript, Angular, Vue, or Typescript.
  • Familiarity with debugging tools.
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Terraform).
  • Experience with end-to-end testing tools (e.g., Selenium).
  • Passion for learning and working in a pair programming environment.
  • Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Design Principles.
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Previous experience with React.js development.
  • In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages.
