Responsibilities:

• Execute financial crimes compliance audits across Coinbase entities and geographies.
• Support the internal audit plan by managing audits from planning to validation of remediated findings.
• Review documents, analyze data sets, perform regulatory mapping, and conduct risk assessments.
• Execute testing, document workpapers, and draft audit reports.
• Map processes and confirm the design effectiveness of internal controls.
• Hold walkthroughs and meetings with stakeholders to understand business processes, controls, and risks.
• Review and evaluate the adequacy and timeliness of management’s response to audit findings.
• Validate remediation activities for audit findings.
• Perform data analysis and testing of data sets to confirm adequacy of processes and controls.
• Promote innovative approaches to executing projects and enhancing internal processes or technology.

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree.
• 4+ years of experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management, Compliance, Law, or Management Consulting.
• Specific experience in financial crimes compliance for a global, heavily regulated financial institution.
• Understanding of an internal control environment.
• Knowledge of the financial services industry and applicable rules and regulations.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with high standards for quality and accuracy.
• Proven project management skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
• Curious, self-starting, and independently motivated.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of data analysis techniques.
