Software Engineer – Identity Management for Canonical Products Full Time NEW

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate proactively with a distributed team.
• Write clean web service APIs using Python (and optionally Golang).
• Design and implement new features and enhancements.
• Review code produced by other engineers.
• Discuss ideas and collaborate on solutions.
• Create and enhance authentication and authorization API endpoints.
• Craft end-user authentication flows from design to implementation.
• Modernize the identity stack of websites and products.
• Maintain quality and engineering excellence in products.
• Work from home with travel 2 to 4 weeks per year.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or equivalent in Computer Science or similar.
• Experience building identity and access management products.
• Familiar with open-source identity standards and protocols.
• Experience in distributed system authorization frameworks.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices.
• Agile development environment experience.
• Comfortable with Ubuntu as a development platform.
• Strong communication and soft skills.
• Passionate and self-motivated with curiosity.
